The Poisoned Ascendancy Tattoo & Merchandise Pop-Up Tour
Metalcore titans Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine joined forces for The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour, celebrating the 20th anniversaries of their iconic 2005 albums, Ascendancy and The Poison. The tour ran through January and February, with both bands performing their albums in full. Tickets sold out rapidly after being released a year in advance—proof of the overwhelming anticipation for this unforgettable event.
To elevate the fan experience, Sixty Ink organized exclusive Tattoo & Merchandise Pop-Up Stores in every city along the tour. Fans had the unique opportunity to commemorate the event with permanent artwork, inspired by the bands’ lyrics and album imagery. Each design was carefully crafted by expert tattoo artists to bring the essence of Ascendancy and The Poison to life on skin.
The tour kicked off in Cardiff, Bullet For My Valentine’s hometown. Despite the infamous Welsh rain, fans lined up outside Frontier Tattoo Studio, eager to get inked and grab exclusive merchandise—available only at these pop-ups. A highlight of the day came when Matt Tuck, Bullet’s lead singer, surprised everyone by getting a matching ‘The Poison’ tattoo alongside his mother—an unforgettable moment for fans who witnessed it firsthand.
Over the course of just seven days, the tour hit five major cities, with over 320 fans walking away with permanent tour memories. A huge shoutout goes to Claudio Traina and his team at Sixty Ink—including Adam, Sara, and Liam—who dedicated 7+ hours of tattooing each day to make this tour a success.
A Few Words from Claudio Traina (Sixty Ink Owner & Tattoo Pop-Up Organizer):
“This was our tattoo tour with Bullet and Trivium, and the response was incredible. We created exclusive flash designs inspired by the bands' logos, their most famous songs, and their albums. Music has always been my greatest passion, but since I wasn’t able to pursue a career as a musician, tattooing became my second love. I wanted to merge these two worlds—literally connecting the band to their fans. Music is life, it’s memories, it’s hope—it’s everything. And now, these fans carry that connection on their skin forever. I believe this was the first time a band has done something like this on tour, and I can't wait to do more.”
